Come spend 1 day or 3-5 days with us fishing the west and south coasts of Costa Rica for Pacific Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Dorado, Yellow fin Tuna, Roosterfish, Wahoo, and the magnificent Black Marlin. The pacific ocean off Costa Rica is unlike any waters of the North American or Mexican west coasts, the waters are calm with perfect situations and water temperatures for loads of bait fish. Because of the abundance of food in the area these waters become a saltwater angler’s paradise. Huge Pacific Sailfish cruise these waters for the majority of the year but are prime from January thru April. Along with thousands of sailfish that inhabit these waters there are multiple species of marlin. Blue and Striped Marlin are the most common variety found here with Blue’s ranging from 150 lbs. and exceeding 600 lbs. making these fish a challenge for anyone who dares. A special treat also exists in these waters during this period, the opportunity to chase the majestic Black Marlin. These shy fish are lured to the waters of Costa Rica because of the vast amounts of feed congested in these waters and grow to sizes over 1000 lbs. giving any angler a fight of a lifetime. Also inhabiting this area are Dorado and Wahoo which offer plenty of fight for anyone. We also have Yellow Fin Tuna, a fish that will challenge anyone at average weights, 20-40, and will hurt you at sizes up 200 lbs. ***We would like to invite you to join us in the 1st Annual Calgary Oil & Gas Billfish Tournament April 15-17/ 2010.
